    Seeds

My daughter cleaned out the seed cabinet today. Wow did we have a lot of older seed. Going to do some germination tests just to see before I chuck it. Some is from the late 90s. Been stored in the basement. Found some cotton seed and sorghum from a few years ago when I messed with them.

    Grains

So this year my father, BIL and I are planted some grains to see how they do. Not a lot. We planted Kamut, Glenn Spring Wheat and Streaker Hulless Oats. 1000 sq ft of each at my father place. The Kamut was just Bobs red mill. My BIL did a germination test and it was almost perfect. The wheat...

How's your garden doing this year?

Mine is rather, meh. Cukes, squash, melons, and pumpkins are doing great as usual. Tomatoes look like Charlie Brown's Christmas tree. Out of 50, 4 look decent. All the cherry types, that I hate to have to pick, of course. Row crops (carrots, beets, green beans, and cabbage) I had to replant...

    Azeala branch rooted

We have a large (over 6' tall & wide) azeala with a lower branch that has rooted in two different spots. My conundrum is..... can I cut/dig those spots as new plants, transfer, & eventually have viable azealas, or do I just need to prune the branch off? I've heard azealas would root like...
