    10 Tomatoes Wonderful Tomatoes

It has rained here just about every other day for a month. It hasn't been unusual to get at least a half inch of rain or more in an afternoon. I thought for sure I was going to have a bunch of cat-faced cracked tomatoes. But no. I've got Rudgers the size of softballs. The kind of luscious, great tasting juicy tomatoes you hope all winter long for. I'm so happy.

I think we've had 1 inch since May 1st. But the tomato plants are beautiful. I bury them deep and hill the dirt up deeper.

I planted Romas this year. I picked the first bushel basket of them this week. They are huge. Even larger than what you get at the store. Rotel, Venison Chili, and Spaghetti Sauce will get canned trom these. If the season holds, I should have more than last year. My Dad preferred Beefsteaks. He'd eat them raw right out of the garden. I prefer my maters cooked. Alot. Rabbit, I am happy for your Harvest.
