As requested, just saying hello to one and all. I Have a few friends living here, including Trooper and Exe. I live in Oregon and my family and I have been working on preps for a number of years. Origionally became interested in preparedness way back as a lad in scouts.

Hello all. I've been lurking for several weeks, and like what I see here. Preparedness has been a part of my life for many years, but I find that I can still learn things of interest and use, so I appreciate a good forum like this. Hope I can contribute as well.
Hi , just a quick drop in to introduce myself...
I live in WNC , finally , after a life of living in the swamps of Florida which I had always wanted to escape from. Alas , I am home. We have lived here for a little more then two years now.
I have been been reading this site on and off since 9/11 when I came across it when I was searching for sites on survival or safe places or something . I was registered once but never posted because I wasn't here in NC yet and had too much going on with my plans for relocating. My plan was to get out and a lot of inspiration for me doing so was boards like this. Now I am back and re-registered and I hope to contribute more as I prepare for what I feel will be a new earth soon in one way or another.
I am also a bleeding heart liberal and homeschooling mother of four boys - ages 17 (twins), 9 , and 7 .

First thanks Dennis for allowing me to join... I have been a faithful reader of the public side for quite awhile now and have learned a great deal.
I am currently living in NJ (worst mistake of my life.. and due to costs here am an economic prisnor yet will some how find my way back home...Florida, more specifically Orlando where I grew up but unfortunataly have to bide my time untill I can escape the Socialist State of NJ)
I look forward to the opportunity to post and hope ya'll find my posts interesting/informative.
It's nice to find people who realize that what we are TOLD is NOT always what is.

Forgot to do this when I first became a new member a few weeks ago. I remember the board from Y2K days ... then lost touch until about a year ago when I started passing by and gradually concluded that most of you folks seem to seek the facts, don't dwell on the negative like the gloom and doomers do which gets tiring ... so decided to join you.
Ok - not a new member but been away for awhile (over 6 months). Thought I would say HI again. My DH - Jumpy Frog - has kept on board but I've been hiding from my computer.
Anyway - hope to look in more often than every 6 month, probably once a week.
Glad to be back - hope DSL gets up my way sometime in this century.

It' past time I sign in as a new guy and say howdy!
I'm just an old guy on the wrong side of 50 and have been reading TB2000 since before Y2k. My interests include organic gardening, homesteading and seed saving. Personally, I'd be considered a dompie (downwardly mobile professional) and can only get to my own keyboard as time in a busy week permits, so I haven't entered many discussions. DW has been on the board for 6 years, and I usually read over her shoulder.
Your community is well informed and active, and I'm happy to be a part of it!
